#1 Stress Concern in 2021 – “Worrying about Others”

These past 12 months have been a doozy. Our Stress Shifter Survey, which was taken in February 2021, showed, so far, that the #1 STRESS CONCERN is “Worrying about others.”
Here are 3 Tips to reduce your Stress “Worrying about Others.”
1. Switch your internal voice from the word “Worry” to “Concern.” The word “Worry” can activate your stress responses. The word “Concern” usually has a more calming internal voice that is seeking solutions with care. When you have a calmer internal voice, you can feel more creative thinking of a positive solution. 2. Learn to draw boundaries with you and others. Boundaries define who you are and who they are. You can only control your own thoughts and feels. Letting others be responsible for their thoughts and feelings is healthy for you and them.
Remember, a child learns to walk by falling and getting up. The child is not upset that it did not walk right away. Allowing others to stumble and get back up on their own is how they can learn, even if it is difficult for us to watch at times.
3. Learn to let go and relax. Constant stress takes a toll on your health, the same with chronic anger. It might be time to take a break from "Pleasing Others" to live in the moment with your surroundings and blessings. Learn to focus on what is good with gratitude. Gratitude will help you become aware of what is important and shift to your Authentic Self.
